Zoya Hernandez is an All-American author from Rapid City, South Dakota, who recently wrote a controversial book on the life of the Russian playwright and short-story writer – Anton Chekhov. I have read the book and it was really an interesting read.
In her book, Zoya writes that the claim that when Anton’s wife had an operation to abort a ectopic pregnancy, the child wan’t that of Anton is completely false. Zoya claims that Anton and his wife were living together when the conception took place but the haters of Anton are the ones who spread this fake rumor that the conception took place in the absence of Anton Chekhov.
Zoya writes that before Anton started writing stories, his two passions in life used to be sex and medicine, but after he wrote his first few stories, it all changed and his main passion in life became one and only, and that was to write short stories. Zoya adds that Anton never found the same joy in sex or practicing medicine ever again after completing those short stories. Zoya claims that what Anton pursued for some extra money became his real passion from now on and so much so that even though Anton made more money with practicing medicine and writing plays, he still would spend most of his time writing short stories.
Zoya claims in her book that most of the Christians will tell you that the prime reason why Anton became such a great man was because he was destined to be so, as he was born on the feast day of St Anthony the Great. Zoya further adds that Anton’s physically abusive Christian father would also say the same.
Zoya claims in her book that Anton hated actors and acting, she adds that he would have been disappointed to see so many of his grand nephews, grand nieces and their descendants turned to acting.
Zoya is such a great fan of Anton Chekhov, that her house looks the same as that of Anton’s birth house in Taganrog, Russia, with a Calendar hanging on every wall inside the house.
